A majority of states have adopted the 2010 NAIC Model Regulation on Suitability in Annuity Transactions. In states that have adopted this regulation, producers doing business in these states must comply with any new state and product training requirements. Majority of states require producers complete a minimum of four (4) continuing education requirements from an APPROVED vendor offering NAIC Training prior to solicitation. Carriers also require agents to take product specific training for their products.
